Scoping Study of Small Business Tax Compliance Costs
On 12 November 2008, the Assistant Treasurer announced the release of the Board of Taxation's scoping study of small business tax compliance costs. The release of the scoping study was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of Taxation, Mr Richard Warburton AO.

Review of the Anti-Tax-Deferral Regimes
On 19 May 2008, the Chairman of the Board of Taxation announced the release of the Board's issues papers on possible reforms to Australia's foreign source income anti-tax-deferral regimes - the controlled foreign company rules, the foreign investment fund rules, the transferor trust rules and the deemed present entitlement rules.
